Valley Speech Therapy is an Independent Speech and Language Therapy company offering client centered therapy tailored to your child's needs. We work throughout East Lancashire and cover The Rossendale Valley, Burnley and The Ribble Valley. We are passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential.

At Valley Speech Therapy we believe that children learn best through fun activities in an environment that they are comfortable in. We therefore offer appointments in the child's home or their educational setting in order to best support the child, their parents and their setting.

Shannon O'Connor
Hello, my name is Shannon O’Connor and I am a fully qualified Speech and Language Therapist and founder of Valley Speech Therapy. I am registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, The Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice and Health and Care Professions council. I am also trained to deliver specific accredited training packages to settings and parents including Elklan and Hanen ‘More Than Words’

I have over 10 years experience of working as a Speech and Language Therapist. I worked within the NHS for 9years and since having a family of my own moved into independent practice. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience working with children with a variety of speech and language difficulties. I am extremely passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential and pride myself on my ability to provide an evidence based, fun service for the families and settings I work with.
